Quote1 You were right, big brother -- about everything but one! I'm already corrupted -- too evil to live -- Quote2
Victor Strange[src]

History

Victor Strange was born in Nebraska to Eugene and Beverly Strange, being the youngest brother to Donna and Stephen Strange.[4][7]

After the deaths of Donna and their mother, Stephen was unable to face any more tragedy and refused to visit Eugene's deathbed. A few days later, an outraged Victor confronted Stephen in his apartment over his apparent lack of grief. Following the confrontation, Victor rushed from the apartment and into the path of an oncoming car. Victor died, and a guilt-wracked Stephen placed Victor's body in cryogenic sleep, hoping that future breakthroughs could revive him.[4]

When Stephen became a sorcerer, he tried to use magic to revive his brother. He studied all sorts of books and ancient texts, but nothing seemed to work. Unbeknownst to him, he had ended up unwittingly using the Vampiric Verse, transforming Victor into a vampire.[5][6]

Years later, Victor's chamber failed and he woke up confused and amnesiac. Marie Laveau, who was looking for vampires to prolong her life, summoned Victor and tried to use him in her plans, but his rational side took over and he turned against her before escaping.[5]

As Baron Blood

When his brother found him, he tried to help him,[8] but Laveau shot him with a golden Arrow of Eros to take control of him once more, and made him steal the Darkhold for her.[1] During this time, Laveau named her new pet vampire "Baron Blood" and had him wear a costume much like that of the original Baron Blood, John Falsworth. Nonetheless, Vic was freed by Stephen and his allies, and helped them fight the beasts that Marie Laveau released upon them.[9] After this, Victor began a relationship with Morgana Blessing, who'd provide him with a regular supply of blood to quench his thirst, while he tried being a hero like his brother.[10][3]

When the original Baron Blood returned, Victor began calling himself Khiron and started hunting those he thought were criminals even if they were not committing crimes. Morgana tried to convince him that, sooner or later, he'd wind up killing an innocent, but Victor was craving for more blood and left her. When Stephen heard of this, he tracked Victor down, leading to a fight between the two that ended with Victor realizing he had almost killed an innocent man. Thinking himself too dangerous to be alive, he impaled himself with a wooden stake, ending his life.[2]

Due to the magical properties of his return, however, he returned to life some time afterwards, trapped in a mirror dimension.[5][6][11]
