History

Alistair Smythe was the head of the engineering department that oversaw the construction of the new power grid for Oscorp's power plant. Under his supervision was Max Dillon, a very non-sociable individual who felt like he was invisible to everyone. On Max's birthday, when all the members of the department were going to have a meeting to unveil the project, Alistair stopped Max from entering the elevator to join the others, telling him he had to go and deal with an electrical issue. This led to the accident that turned Max in Electro.
