So we finally see Havok and Polaris return. Also Marvel Girl but she wasn't with those two. Oh yeah, and Korvus (who was with them). But I guess he isn't as popular because he wasn't even mentioned once during the single issue. In fact, I don't even think he was mentioned the past issue or two that mentioned the other Starjammers. It's always "Havok, Polaris and Marvel Girl". Although that is fair I suppose, as the X-Men may not even know about Korvus. Still, it's a little annoying. I felt sorry for the guy, even though I've never been a fan of him...
So in this issue we see the much awaited return (yeah, right) of Sovel Redhand, Glitter, Jat, and Horse. I guess I'm glad to see these guys. Not really the biggest fan either, but hey, the X-Men are already in Shi'ar space, they might as well see some others they know. A little confusing as to why Sovel doesn't remember Rogue, but at least he remembers Gambit.
So I didn't follow the past story or two the Starjammers were even shown in, so I'm a little lost on something...where are Raza and Ch'od? I don't think (?) they're dead, so then where are they..? Now I know Vulcan, Corsair, Lilandra, and D'ken are all dead (and a couple Imperial Guardsmen, of course), but I didn't think these two were. Speaking of Starjammers, why hasn't Hepzibah been shown recently.. Anyways, I'm hoping to see some Imperial Guardsmen in the next few issues..or what's left of them. Sigh..
But I did like this issue. It was a good start to what I know is to come; however, it was just that- a start. Not a lot of action yet, and a bit too much talking from Sovel and his gang. Though there was one cool scene where Magneto basically stopped a huge riot in like five seconds. And then Frenzy was all like "Yep. That's why I joined the Acolytes." I thought that that was pretty funny. And it was pretty ba of Rogue to demand leadership against Sovel. You go girl! lol
All in all, I'd give it a 4 out of 5. I mean, this storyline is supposed to be about bringing back the Starjammers, and yet (aside from Rachel, who was unconscius the whole time btw) they were only shown on the last page. And it seemed like they were bad..? OK, maybe not bad, just against what would be considered "good" on Shi'ar space. Not quite criminals, just trying to survive I assume. Anyways, I still anxiously await the next chapter. And I will miss Mike Carey after he finishes with X-Men: Legacy. ;(--Johnnybravo44 (talk) 23:32, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
