Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is where two crashed starships and their Skrull occupants were brought on July 9th, 1947, after they were recovered from wherever they crashed.[1] Although some military personnel knew that the "deceased" specimens were still alive, some scientists (like Dr. Caitlin Maddox) were led to believe that they were merely preserved corpses.[2]
