Trivia

  • Byrne's story satirizes his work for the previous several years.
    • He created the post-Crisis reboot of Superman, including story elements such as Superman's less-godly powers, Lex Luthor as ruthless billionaire businessman surrounded by miniskirted female minions, and Lois Lane's striking fashion sense. (Ordway also worked on the rebooted Superman.) Ruthless's monologue is an only slightly exaggerated version of Luthor's speech from Superman Vol 2 #2. Even Four Freedoms Plaza resembles Byrne's LexCorp Building.
    • Byrne comments in a caption box that it is impossible to satirize Benjamin Grimm's dialogue; he similarly wrote and drew Fantastic Four until the Superman reboot.
