Synopsis for "The Last Stand"
In the Works, War Machine fights Iron Man and defeats him. War Machine has a chance to kill his opponent, but decides to spare his life. Iron Man escapes. Also in the building, Century discovers the corpse of Amanda Chaney in the sub-basement. He is attacked by Cybermancer. They fight and he knocks her out.
Moonraker, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Woman, and Fisher Todd return from Vietnam. Century teleports Black Widow and Moonraker to the current location of the Avengers.
War Machine and the other heroes stay in the works and confront Virgil, who is trying to activate a chronographic weapon. Virgil uses hard-light constructs against them.
