Quote1 It has been speculated that the Sentry possesses vast psychic powers, but no control over them. The Void, however, has full access to all of its potential. He is not repressed by Robert Reynolds' morality. Quote2

History

Origin[]

The Void was born when Robert Reynolds drank an enhanced Super-Soldier Serum alongside the Sentry. Reynolds constantly fought an internal struggle against the Void to prevent it from taking over his body and fulfilling its purpose of killing and destroying everything.

Contest of Champions[]

Robert Reynolds as the Sentry was one of the original twelve champions brought to the Battlerealm by Collector to participate in the current iteration of the Contest of Champions. The Sentry fought and massacred all but three of his opponents who had their memories wiped of the battles afterward. The Maestro ordered the Collector to dispose of Sentry, but instead the Collector sent him to retrieve the crystalized heart of his daughter, Carina Tivan. The Sentry successfully found it, but became lost in the vastness of the Battlerealm.

The Age of the Sentry[]

Reynolds was lost in the Battlerealm for thirty-five years, leading him to believe the Collector had abandoned him. This pain and anger slowly caused the Void within him to resurface, first using it's psychic abilities to restore the memories of Thor, Scarlet Witch and Hyperion, who were all the survivors against Sentry. For the realization their minds have been continuously reset, the three attacked the Collector but were defeated by the Summoner's champions. Following their defeat, Reynolds personally confronted the Collector for abandoning him and turned into the Void in his anger. The Void was defeated by the Summoner's champions, allowing the Collector to retrieve the shard of his daughter's heart from Reynolds.

Attributes

Powers

Seemingly those of Robert Reynolds and the Void of Earth-616.

Weaknesses

The Contest labels the Void as a Cosmic Champion, therefore weakening him against Mystic Champions.
