Validator[src]

Validator was a member of Canadian superhero team Omega Flight, and daughter of first-generation Department H agent Robert Michaud.

History

Validator was among the Omega Flight team sent to investigate the Origin Bomb impact site in Regina, Canada. While the rest of her team was killed by the hostile organisms which had evolved within the dome, Validator herself was evolved by the regional phenomenon as she pleaded for the Department to destroy the site at any cost. One month later, having exhausted all other options for reentering the dome, Department H called upon Manifold and the Avengers to investigate; once inside, the Avengers met with the evolved Validator, whose new connection to time caused them to experience their pasts and distant futures within 49 minutes. Alongside the Avengers was Validator's father Robert, whose time in the temporal anomaly caused him to experience his own death; shortly after this, Validator informed him that she had been tasked with protecting this new creation, and he took his own life.[1]

Bobby Da Costa later recruited Validator to his New Avengers alongside the other creations of the Origin Bombs.[2]

Attributes

Powers

As a member of Omega Flight, Validator seemingly has access to Department H's Battle-Suit technology.

  • Concussive beams: Validator can fire blue beams of energy from her forearms to defend herself.[1]

After having been changed by the effects of the Origin Bomb, Validator became part of an immense biomechanical system connected to the Earth itself, specifically the part controlling the system's evolution.[2]

  • Power of evolution: The energy field surrounding the changed Validator causes time to fluctuate, with a span of 327 hours occurring within the field while only forty-nine minutes pass outside it; time within this field can jump from at least thirty years in the past to decades forward into the future, and individuals within this field can experience future paths or rapid evolution.[1]

Notes

  • Validator is presumably named for Vindicator, a codename given to several members of Omega Flight predecessor Alpha Flight; in addition to sounding similar, the two codenames are near synonyms.
