Hi, Johnnybravo here again this time with a double dose of X-Men: Legacy comic book reviews. Though this one's a few weeks old, I'm reviewing it anyway. Hope you like it.
So Mimic and Omega are back in this issue. I really like Mimic, so it was nice to see that he seemed overall good in this book. Looks like Omega can be forgiving, but I guess we'll see.. It makes sense for Mimic to look for Beast's help considering Beast helped him when his powers were crazy. Nice again to see further confirmation that Mimic is not a mutant. I honestly think it would be cooler if he was, but I'm just happy to see a definite answer for one side or the other at the moment.
Nice to see random students in this issue like every other issue of X-Men: Legacy so far. Really, the book focues on Rogue, Gambit, Frenzy, Marvel Girl, and a couple others, but each book has to obligatorily show one or two pages of the students. Eh, whatever.. So they "fight" Omega and bring him back to Beast's lab, and then he's being all sad and dumb. And the X-Men, as sometimes way too forgiving that they are (Rogue in particular), are just like "it's fine, whatever, we forgive you." kind of too fast in my opinion.
While he technically isn't really at fault for Alpha Flight's deaths (and even if he was, it wouldn't matter since they're back now...or most of them are), he did kind of..oh, I don't know, torture Beast for some time. But, you know, whatever.. I think he would make a cool addition to the team of X-Men though. It's funny, Frenzy has actually killed before (Sharon Friedlander to be exact) but has Omega? I can't remember..maybe I'm being too rough. If Beast can forgive him, why can't everyone else..?
So then while all in Beast's lab, they have this idea for Rogue and Mimic to try and absorb away some of Omega's powers that are basically killing him, but it doesn't work. And now they have three Omegas on there hands. Overall, I'd give the book a 4 out of 5 stars. I'm biased, however, as I love Rogue and the rest of these characters, even Mimic and Omega. It's nice to see the latter two return, and possibly even join the X-Men..? We'll see..
