History

Ultimo is the guardian of the third Makluan Ring residing in the Temple of Courage. He was created by the original Mandarin and utilizes power and force to fuel itself, e.g. when Iron Man used his repulsors on him, he increased in size. Ultimo came after the current holder of the ring, walking all the way from Greenland to New York City to find it. Iron Man returned the ring to Ultimo, but he continued to attack him because he was still "holding" a weapon his armor. Tony Stark defeated the guardian by powering down his Iron Man Armor and because that was the courageous thing to do. Ultimo then regressed back to his original statue form.
