Synopsis for "Spider-Man & Hulk (Part I)"Edit

While at his job at the Daily Bugle, Peter overhears Ben Urich talking about a green monster the army has chased from Nevada making it's way to Manhattan. Thinking this might be the Green Goblin, Spider-Man swings into action. Spidey quickly discovers it is not the Goblin, but instead he encounters The Hulk. Spider-Man tries to stop the rampaging beast, but the fight does not go well.

  • No special notes.

  • The opening panel is a Daily Bugle cover story about Spider-Man helping an "unknown mutant". This is a reference to the previous Ultimate Marvel Team-Up issue. Also, the picture used is the same as the cover of several Ultimate Spider-Man iterations.
  • Spider-Man warns the Hulk at one point "Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." This is a popular phrase used by Bruce Banner in other Marvel Universes as a warning for people not to make him turn into the Hulk.
