History

The U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Disease, often abbreviated USAMRIID, is a biological warfare laboratory located on the Fort Detrick military installation in Frederick, Maryland.

After Sebastian Shaw received intel that the U.S. Army was experimenting with Terrigen Mist, he and Cable took a small strike force, including Rogue and Toad, and broke into USAMRIID, where they stole all of the military's research on the subject. Belle then suggested that they anonymously forward the material to Beast in hopes that he might be able to use it to further his search for a cure to the M-Pox epidemic.
