Synopsis for "The Scarab Strikes!"Edit

The Scarlet Scarab tracks the stolen Eye of Horus to the Chicago museum, where he runs afoul of Thor.

Synopsis for "The Rescue"Edit

In Asgard, Loki discovers that Odin was not unfaithful to Frigga, but continues with the plan anyway. Odin consults Mimir on a course of action, and is told they should all go to Midgard. On Midgard, they will have no need of the apples, like Thor.

  • This issue features a letters page, The Hammer Strikes. Letters are published from Tom Coppinger, Wallace Lee Hopkins, Jame Shepherd, Randy Evans, and Howard C. Bugg.


  • The Chicago press mentions Mayor Byrne. In 1982, the Mayor of Chicago was indeed Jane Byrne.
