Synopsis for "outfoX"

While the Underground plans out their next move, the Strucker family takes in what Reed learned about his family's mutant history from Otto. Andy shows Lauren a book he found in the Underground's library that contains information about Fenris, including a picture of the twins using their dangerous powers while holding hands. The Struckers decide to see what would happen if Andy and Lauren held hands, but do so from the safety of the building's vault. The siblings try again after one failed attempt, and a bright light begins to emit from their hands. The light gets more intense, Reed pulls his children apart out of fear for their safety. They say that when they held hands it was like they became one person, and with their powers combined they could have easily vaporized the wall in front of them. They could have brought the whole building down if they wanted to.

Meanwhile, Esme - whose family is currently being held by Trask - gives Polaris a nightmare to convince her to take action against them. Polaris and Dreamer get information about their lab from one of Trask's security guards. Using that information, they come up with a plan to hit a nearby power substation to briefly knock out the facility's defenses, giving them enough time to get inside and rescue the mutants held there. Lauren, Andy, Blink and Dreamer attack the substation while Reed and Caitlin monitor the security cameras from the getaway van. The Sentinel Services, however, were ready for this, as Agent Turner suspected the Underground might attack Trask Industries soon. Heavily-armed agents swarmed both the substation and the Trask's facility, forcing Thunderbird to abort the mission. The Sentinels also deployed a drone to go after the mutants at the substation, this time enhanced to withstand being torn apart by Andy's powers. The drone takes down Blink, and soon after Dreamer sacrifices herself to help Andy and Lauren get away. Alone in the facility's basement, Lauren and Andy hold hands again so they can blast their way out, but Andy lets go when he realizes they'll end up killing everyone. Reed and Caitlin helplessly watch as Agent Turner and the Sentinel Services surround their children and arrest them.
