Article Name[]

Shouldn't this be Sandman (William Baker)? --IronMonger2001 21:55, 27 October 2005 (Eastern Daylight Time)

Strictly speaking, yes, but he is far better known by his long term criminal alias Flint Marko than his birth name William Baker.- The preceding unsigned comment was added by Loki marvel (talk • contribs).

Juggernaut connection?[]

I noticed that Sandman's main alias, Flint Marko, has the same surname as the Juggernaut, Cain Marko. The last name Marko is an unusual one and it makes me wonder if there was a connection between the two that led Sandman to choose that name. If anyone knows definitively if there is a connection in those names it might be a good addition to the Sandman and Juggernaut articles. Even if there is no connection it might be good to add since other confused people like me would like to know.

Of course, it could have just been Stan Lee (or whomever) forgetting he already used that name and gave it to both characters!- The preceding unsigned comment was added by Diospyros (talk • contribs).

I don't think he is related. Didn't he come up with the name while in prison. It is his assumed name and not real name. --M1shawhan 03:51, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Sandstorm/Flight[]

I'm not sure if it's in the mainstream series, but is Sandman capable of turning into a sandstorm naturally and using that ability to fly? If so, shouldn't that be listed as one of his sub-powers? --Fox Boss (talk) 23:36, March 27, 2017 (UTC)

Our policy is that everything requires proper citation, in other words, if a power can be referenced to a specific issue to allow for peer review, then it should be listed; however, powers may vary from one reality to another, so a sandstorm demonstration in Earth-96283 does not necessarily mean it can be done in Earth-616, etc. -- Annabell (talk) 00:03, March 28, 2017 (UTC)

Strength Level too high?[]

Is there a citation of Sandman's strength level? I don't remember any story of him lifting or pushing more than 2 or 3 tons.Captainsealed (talk) 09:56, January 20, 2018 (UTC)

His strength level was given in Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z #10.

Cloning power lost?[]

Is there any reason for us to believe he can no longer split himself into clones? The issue cited in the article does not mention his copying abilities one way or another. Seems like unfounded conjecture that when he became immortal he lost his cloning powers.- The preceding unsigned comment was added by DrChimerasChaoticDiasters (talk • contribs).

I went over the page and I couldn't find what you're talking about. Where is it assumed that he lost the ability to split himself into clones?
