Just Wondering?

Why are The Squadron Supreme of Earth 616 listed as Avenger Members? I did not think that they were an Avengers Team.

I've been wondering the same thing and was planning to suggest their removal. They were fugitives plotting contingency plans to take down the Avengers in Avengers (Vol. 6) #0, and that's the only Avengers issue they ever appeared in. -- Annabell (talk) 09:12, January 30, 2017 (UTC)

They must've been there because their book was technically part of the Avengers books line-up, the same with Ultimates. I've removed them and updated the list while I was at it.

I understand why the Ultimates were included as that was the name that The Avengers used in the ultimate Universe, but thank you for removing the non-Avengers from The Avengers Roster.

On a similar note, can the A-Force members be removed? I don't think anyone ever referred to them as an Avengers team throughout their short existence. Monolith616 (talk) 21:09, May 25, 2017 (UTC)

I don't know, in the solicitation for A-Force Vol. 1: Hypertime, one can read: «To combat the villainous ANTIMATTER, Singularity will call upon Earth's mightiest team of Avengers.» Pedronog (talk) 21:17, May 25, 2017 (UTC)

So, a year later, I'm reconsidering leaving the A-Force members in. In back to back issues, Runaways (4th series) #7-8, Nico Minoru has referred to herself as a former Avenger, apparently referencing her time with A-Force. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Major Cleanup

I should preface this by saying that I fervently believe this page should exist. Though it doesn't quite line up with most of the other articles on this wiki, it's still a useful fan tool to determine who all has been on Marvel's most significant team. With that said, this page is in desperate need of an overall. There's a lot of inconsistencies with itself that severely impact the quality of the article, and I'd like to run them down here. First: we need to narrow the article's focus to those teams that are directly a part of the Avengers, so no War Avengers, Illuminati, or Agents of Wakanda (this includes the removal of the non-member section). Second, in the Notes column, we need to remove the references to non-Avengers teams like the Future Foundation or the Champions, or on the character being dead or retired, as they do not reflect on the members' Avengers status and thus contribute nothing to the article; additionally, we should either add in all the information regarding members joining and leaving each team they were on, or cut those portions entirely. Third, we need to update the actual membership; many names that are bolded are not actually on the Avengers teams and vice versa, and while I may be mistaken, the fact that the list doesn't extend beyond 2018 implies that the list is also severely outdated on new members. The non-members section can simply be renamed to further reflect what it means as many may find it useful to view the membership of Avengers teams that are not of the primary group.
