Ok some clarifications about Jean Grey of Earth-9997 because it appears that there is some confusion, between the different associated characters. Namely, Jean Grey, Madelyn Prior, and Phoenix Force. First of all, Madelyn Pryor did not have any activity in modern day Earth-9997. In fact her past history mirrors EXACTLY the same as her Earth-616 counterpart. Meaning she's dead, dead, dead. This confusion stems from Jean toying with Logan near the end of Earth X, when she walks out on him and saying "By the way, I'm not Jean, I'm Madelyn". However, during the wedding between King Britain and Medusa, Logan and Jean make up and Jean tells him she was just "snikting" him. Meaning she was joking.
The Phoenix Force, is a separate entity, it died when it killed itself on the Moon (just like on Earth-616) and lived in the Realm of the Dead. THIS is who Cyclops still has a rapport with, and communicates with in the Realm, and is separate from Jean in anyway shape or form. Therefor, I am restoring my original profile, and suggesting that the Madelyn Pryor (Earth-9997) article be deleted because Madelyn had no role to play in the Earth X universe other than what is established as Marvel cannon. True. But if the Phoenix Force is a seperate entity without a physical form, then why did it roam under the guise of Jean Grey in the Land of the Dead as opposed to in some sort of astral form, a la Dr. Strange? It's easy to make up a pretty sensible explination for it, but it still doesn't clear up the confusion whether or not Logan's wife is Jean Grey or Madelyne Pryor. Based on the theory I laid down before and the fact that how she lost her powers remains unrevealed, I'd say it's Madelyne, but that's just one person's opinion.
