The Skrull Adrenaline Compound is a liquid created by extracting adrenaline from Deviant Skrulls and purifying it with adrenaline removed from Prime Skrulls.[1] If ingested or injected, it can mutate normal humans[3] or activate latent mutant abilities in Prime Skrulls.[1]
History
Major Ross Jonas gained his immunity to fire and ability to generate and control blue flames after he ingested the "evolution formula" to keep it from falling into the hands of the Peacekeepers.[3]
The Prime Skrull's latent mutant ability to alter the molecular structure of other beings and things was activated after Dr. Caitlin Maddox injected him with the "adrenaline compound" to revive him.[1]
Dr. Maddox later stated that she assumed that she had survived the death touch of Lord Tantalus because she, like Scorch, had ingested the "Skrull adrenaline formula."[2]Notes
- Although Caitlin Maddox definitely did survive the death touch of Lord Tantalus in Blackwulf #9, her explanation for how she survived seems unsubstantiated because her ingestion of the Skrull Adrenaline Formula was never shown or even implied in previous issues. Additionally, she had no motive for ingesting the formula since there was no way that she could know that she would soon be killed unless she ingested it. This lack of foreshadowing makes her unexpected survival seem contrived and implausible.
