History

Working for the Goblin

The first formation of the Sinister Six featured in the comics (although apparantely not the first one this earth's Spider-Man has met) consisted of Beetle, Tombstone, Hydro-Man, Scorpion, Sandman and Electro. They were hired by Harry Osborn, who was under the hypnotic influence of his father Norman (who had faked his death), to beat up Spider-Man in front of a camera team . After defeating them, Spider-Man confronted Harry and finally Norman Osborn himself , both in Green Goblin costumes.

Time Quest

A new formation of the Sinister Six, this time consisting of Doctor Octopus, Sandman, Electro, Vulture, Rhino and Venom, broke into the Baxter Building, planning to use the Time Platform in order to kill Spider-Man in the past. When Spider-Man and H.E.R.B.I.E. tried to stop them, Electro was sent to fight with them while the remaining five activated the time machine. However, instead of travelling to Spider-Man's past, the five were scattered across the past and the future, with Vulture being worshipped as a god by a tribe , the Venom symbiote leaving Eddie to merge with a viking called Olaf the Grim, Rhino becoming a hitman and almost killing Phineas Horton, Sandman being stranded in the future where he had to fight not only Spider-Man, but also Spider-Girl and Doctor Octopus fighting a smiliar team-up of Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099.
