History

The past history of Shalla-Bal mirrors that of her Earth-616 counterpart.

Shalla-Bal was the lover of Norrin Radd, the Silver Surfer. Following the destruction of the Surfer's former master Galactus, the Surfer realised that Galactus had been necessary to the cosmic balance. Together with the High Evolutionary, they convinced Franklin Richards to allow the Evolutionary to use his equipment to advance Franklin's mutation, allowing him to assume the role of Galactus.[1]

Guided by the Surfer, Franklin forgot his past and came to believe that he was Galactus. The new Galactus allowed the Surfer and Shalla-Bal to be reunited, imbuing her with the same power cosmic that empowered the Surfer, and making them his twin-heralds. When Galactus was called back to Earth to battle the Celestials, Shalla-Bal was killed in battle..[2]

The devastated Silver Surfer would mourn Shalla-Bal on Earth after the Celestials defeat within the Human Torch erected in New York City. When the Surfer sacrificed his life to give Mar-Vell the Power Cosmic, his soul was transported to the Realm of the Dead.[3][4]

There he was reunited with Shalla-Bal, their current whereabouts are unknown as they have not been seen since the death of Death.

Attributes

Powers

Shalla-Bal presumably had the same abilities as her Earth-616 counterpart. Presumably, when she was transformed into a Silver Surfer by either Galactus of Norrin Radd, she probably gained the same powers as the Silver Surfer.
