History
SecBots were bots stationed at the Valhalla Base and employed by North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) as a defense force. They were used incase unauthorized personel infiltrated the subterranean mountain base.
They were employed, when Hellion member Empath revealed the presence of the X-Men in the base and used his empathy powers to manipulate the emotions of the general, which prompted the general to activate the SecBot alert and sent out the robots with the license to kill.
The bots initially only managed to capture Nightcrawler and Rogue, they brought the duo to their general. But before they could find the rest of the mutant team, Nightcrawler used his teleport powers to escape captivity and subsequently extricated the rest of the team, which allowed them to evade capture and withdraw from the complex.[1]See Also
