History
Cyclops and the X-Men fought Magneto reached into the molten iron of Earth's outer core, splitting the Earth and breaking the magnetic field that protected the atmosphere. The idea taken by the brightest heroes and minds of the Earth was to build a machine that converted the power of mutants into the energy needed to save the Earth. Cyclops volunteered to give his life to power the machine, and he died as one of the heroes of Earth.[1]
