Synopsis for "The Watchwraith!"Edit

Rom Vol 1 16 001
Mack Killburn arrives in Clairton, West Virginia to follow up the story started by Ace O’Connor. He begins questioning townspeople about the ‘killer robot’ but gets nowhere and realizes that the people are lying about it. At the Clark residence, Rom tells those assembled about the Dire Wraiths. Steve arrives with a homemade version of the Energy Analyzer. Rom tells the people of his intention to depart soon. Two young boys, Billy & Mark are playing and enter an old mine shaft. They accidentally trigger an alarm that activates a Watchwraith. Having not been programmed by its masters, the Watchwraith begins a rampage through Clairton. Rom arrives and battle ensues with a number of townspeople helping the Spaceknight as a startled Mack Killburn looks on. Rom defeats the Watchwraith and Mack Killburn thinks the town is crazy. A truck is driven through a building destroyed in the battle to cover up what really happened.
