Roger is a post-graduate student in the same program Peter Parker follows in the Empire Estate University. He is a shy young man and so Peter invites him to a party where Roger is mocked by other students who serve him vinegar in a drink. He quits the party but Peter defends him and after Roger being involved in a fight among Spider-man and the Red Ghost and his apes some girls get interested in Roger. One of these girls is Mia Carrera, who soon becomes Roger's girlfriend.
