Rip Van Winkle as a humanoid alien who visits planet Earth in violation of galactic travel guidelines which have declared the planet off limits due to its dormitive effect.[1]

The tale was later recounted in the short story by the American author Washington Irving. It follows a Dutch-American villager in colonial America named Rip Van Winkle who falls asleep in the Catskill Mountains after meeting the little people and wakes up 20 years later, having missed the American Revolutionary War.
