Synopsis for "The Twain Shall Meet!"
Namor has been informed of the kidnapping of Jacqueline Trufaut and desperately rushes to her aid.[1] He arrives to an undisclosed location to find her bound to a rocky pillar and is quickly attacked by giant blue-skinned humanoids. A flashback then reveals that Namor decided to leave Atlantis despite the protests of his advisory council. The council appears to begin discussing the need to remove Namor from his leadership role due to the lack of attention he seems willing to give to the kingdom.
Namor continue his battle with the Mad Twins and ultimately succeeds in forcing them to flee. He unties Trufaut and embraces her but is quickly confronted by a group of U.S. Navy operatives accompanied by Carl Bernhart. Bernhart looks to speak with him but Namor leaves angrily, suspicious that Bernhart is complicit in Trufaut's kidnapping. After the rescue, Trufaut encourages Namor to spend some time with her at the Trufaut Center for Undersea Studies before he addressed the United Nations general assembly, hoping to convince them to bring Atlantis into the fold of formal global diplomacy.
Meanwhile, a vote of no confidence commences before an assemblage of Atlanteans in Atlantis and Namor is formerly deposed of his position as ruler of the kingdom. He addresses the U.N. general assembly and is admired for his words of unification before being suddenly attacked by the Mad Twins.
