History
The Possessors were an alien race from another dimension discovered by Dr. Strange. They had possessed parts of the population of a village in the Bavarian Alps. When they discovered that Strange could expose them, one of them tried to possess him, but he was not able to control Strange's body. Capturing the alien, Strange learned that they had entered the village as a test to see if the could take control of the entire planet. After Strange defeated their leader in a contest of mental strength, they returned to their own dimension; then Strange blocked their access to Earth.[1]

Powers
Can extend spirits similar to astral forms and possess humans. However, should the human is using his own astral form, then the Possessors cannot possess an "empty shell". They have other mental powers.
