Later, the Masked Marauder leads a number of his Maggia cohorts to rob the Citibank building with a specialized truck and a mechanical bird. However, when Spider-Man happens by and tries to stop it, the bird transforms into the new and improved Tri-Man who manages to put up a fight against Spider-Man. When Spidey tries to stop them from stealing the money in the vault, the Masked Marauder uses his special helmet blaster on Spider-Man, which renders him blind.
