Synopsis for 1st story
The story starts as Patsy Walker is pitching to She-Hulk and Sharon King her new business: "The Patsy Walker Agency for Heroes and Other Cool Friends Who Are In Need Of Work". Seeing their confusion, she tells the whole story of how she came to the idea.
Using her powers, Hellcat detected someone using mystic energy to steal from an armored truck. Once she stopped the thief, who reveals himself as Ian Soo, an Inhuman capable of telekinesis, both end bonding over their love for Wicked. Figuring out Ian is a good if lazy person, Hellcat has him help her in some errands (rescuing a woman's theater tickets from the subway, and beating up the man who tossed them there) and convinces Ian to return the money to the truck. Returning to her boss She-Hulk - who by calling her "Patsy" leads Hellcat to reveal her secret identity to Ian - Jen reports that she is lacking service for an investigator, leading Patsy to lose her job and her shelter at the office's storage room. Ian decides to welcome Patsy as his new roommate.
While shopping for supplies, Ian decides to stop by Burly Books. The owner recognizes Patsy, and eventually she sees that he is her old friend Tom "Tubs" Hale, back from Centerville, California. Patsy discovers old "frenemy" Hedy Wolfe has made the old Patsy Walker comic books written by Patsy's mom back in print, with enough success the share Tom earned for his likeness' usage enabled him to buy the shop.
As Patsy tells Jen about the Hedy ordeal in a bar, Tom and Ian arrive, informing that Ian is now working at Burly Books. Ian's mention that lots of "folks with abilities, or even those who lost them" are looking for employment leads Patsy to conceive the idea of a job agency for superhumans. Jen and Sharon warm up to the idea, and once Patsy is questioned on how she'll earn the money given she had just been fired by Jen, Patsy replies that will work retail.
