Palestine was the name of the land of Israel from 70 to 1948.
In the Modern Age, Palestine is composed of two separate territories:
- Gaza: A thin strip of land, bordered at south-west by Egypt, at north-west by the Mediterranean Sea, and from north-east to south-east by Israel.
- The West Bank: A territory borded at south, west, and north by Israel, at east by Jordan.
Palestine and Israel are in conflict, which led to many violent military and terrorist events, along with local and international interventions.[1]
