History
Origin[]
With an increasing number in the student body, Cyclops & Emma Frost reorganized the Xavier Institute's educational and training program.[1] The Paladins Squad was advised by Shadowcat.[2]
Astonishing[]
This squad suffered some terrible losses during the semester. The first came when Wing was depowered by Ord with the Hope Serum.[3] Later, Wing committed suicide in an attempt to reactivate his powers after being coerced by Danger.[4] Finally, when S.W.O.R.D. took the X-Men (and Armor) to Breakworld, Shadowcat became trapped inside a giant bullet in order to save Earth.[5][6]
Members[]
- Armor - Hisako Ichiki is a strong willed girl who creates psionic armor around herself. Retained her powers and remained with the X-Men.
- Blindfold - Ruth Aldine is an odd mannered, physically blind girl who can see the future and read minds. Retained her powers and remained with the X-Men.
- Wing - Eddie Tancredi could fly and aspired to become an X-Man. He was depowered by Ord with the Hope Serum.[3] He later committed suicide in an attempt to reactivate his powers.[4]
M-Day[]
After M-Day only 27 of 182 enrolled Xavier's students retained their powers. The Paladins Squad was disbanded along with all the other X-Men Training Squads.[7]Notes
