History

Orythaon was a warrior of Troy and a comrade of Hector.

During the last year of the Trojan War, when Hector's slayer Achilles stood in the Scaean Gates of the city, wounded and dying, Orythaon was among the Trojans and Darans to surround him. Achilles found the strength to slay Orythaon with a javelin, then killed Hipponous and finally Alcathous, before finally falling.
