An American writer of pulp fiction, best known for his character The Spider, Page also wrote two stories of his character Hurricane John, Flame Winds and Sons of the Bear God (both 1939), which were adapted by Roy Thomas in Conan the Barbarian, respectively in Conan the Barbarian #32-34 (1973-1974) and Conan the Barbarian #109-112 (1980).
