The Norn was a member of the Great Society. They used righteous alternative means to end the incursions that were threatening their reality. However, when an incursion occurred with Earth-616, the latter's Illuminati was forced to kill the Great Society and their Earth to stop the incursion.[1]
History
Little is known about the Norn. He was an outcast, a hero of the Anti-Heroic Age.[2] Doctor Strange assumed the Norn did not have the gift of magic, but had spent his life gathering -or rather stealing- items of power.[3]
After the Archetypes of J.U.S.T.I.C.E. fell during the invasion of Earth by the Kree and Skrulls, the Norn and five other outcast heroes came together to form the Society. They were able to repel the aliens and reclaim the Earth, and would serve as its greatest protectors, the Great Society.[2]
After facing and defeating an incursion by the Mapmakers, the Great Society faced yet another one immediately after, this time facing the Illuminati of Earth-616. They attempted a dialogue to prevent the worst-case scenarios. However, Namor attacked Rider and prompted a fight between the two groups of heroes for the survival of their own Earth.[4]
Even though the Great Society quickly took the upper hand, Doctor Strange unleashed a demon which killed most of the Great Society, including Norn. Prior to this, he depowered the Norn and accused him of being a child using purloined magical artifacts.
The Illuminati later destroyed the Great Society's Earth to save theirs.[3] Strange brought the Norn's lifeless body back along with the Black Priest's Helmet to his own reality.[5]Attributes
