When Nico was attacked by her mother with a magic staff, the object was simply absorbed into her chest. She soon discovered that every time she bled, the staff appeared for her to use. After losing an arm, she replaced it with a magical gauntlet that improves her ability. She soon joined the Runaways and is the group's leader.[1]
