News:Hood Picked To Direct Wolverine Film

From the sounds of it, a number of directors were vying for a coveted director role in the Wolverine spin-off flick which begins production this November, currently slated for a 2008 release. Variety has reported that the deal was struck after Fox executives were impressed by Gavin Hood's recent film Rendition.

Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as the untamed X-Men member; He will also take on a producer position hoping this movie will share some of the same $1 billion success the X-Movie series has enjoyed in recent years.
