History

Mysterion was a young African-American man who bought the Mysterio identity and gear from the Hobgoblin after Quentin Beck, the original Mysterio, disappeared[1] (unbeknownst to them, Mysterio had been arrested on Earth-1610).[2] Wanting to become a rich man and also have some fun, he accepted to rob a bank at the Hobgoblin's behest. During the heist, however, he was targeted by both Spider-Man (at the time Otto Octavius' mind in Peter Parker's body) and the Punisher, who thought he was Beck returned. Fearing for his life, Mysterion escaped and called to his benefactor to get help. This allowed Spider-Man to track down and defeat the Hobgoblin before turning his attention to the Punisher and, ultimately, Mysterion.

Spider-Man captured Mysterion and took him to his secret lair on Battery Park.[1] There, Mysterion and four former members of the Sinister Six (namely the Sandman, Electro, Chameleon, and the Vulture) were implanted with chips that allowed Otto to control their minds. With them, Otto formed a team with which he could fight crime: the Superior Six. During a battle against the Lightmaster's Masters of Evil, Spider-Man lost control over his brain-controlled team and they tried to take revenge on him, but failed.[3]

Some time later, Mysterion reappeared with an army of robotic dinosaurs he created to attack Liberty Island, where they were defeated by a group of several heroes.[4]
