Synopsis for "Secret Invasion: Part Two"
In Nanjing, China, in January 1368, Agent Sum, at the time Hui Lin, impaled a Mongolian soldier with a spear and declared that Kublai Khan's rule in China would come to an end and that he would pierce the Mongol's heart. In the present, in New York City, as Agent Sum accused Ms. Marvel of being a Skrull, he shot at her before Machine Man and Sleepwalker both pursued her, leading her to believe that Sum mobilized Lightning Storm.
Ms. Marvel fled them and attempted to contact Tony before Machine Man found her again and she insisted that she was not a Skrull and wanted to find out who killed William Wagner. The blonde superhero tore Machine Man apart before she encountered a Skrull impersonating her, followed by Minicarrier 13 appearing above them. Agent Sum, accompanied by other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, surrounded the two Ms. Marvels, as Machine Man put himself back together. Both Ms. Marvels were taken into custody as Rl'nnd shapeshifted into a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and entered the Minicarrier with the others.
One hour later, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents took the real Ms. Marvel out from the brig and to her damaged, destroyed quarters, where she and "Sum" were allowed to talk away from the others before the superhero accused the agent of being a Skrull impostor. The real Agent Sum appeared and the impostor revealed himself to be Rl'nnd. As Machine Man was talking to a Photon LMD in his quarters, Ms. Marvel and Rl'nnd crashed through his wall before crashing up into Rick Sheridan's quarters. As Ms. Marvel's Skrull impostor attempted to convince the agents to release her, the real Ms. Marvel, along with Agent Sum, Machine Man, and Sleepwalker attacked Rl'nnd, killing him and angering the other Skrull. The incarcerated Skrull revealed that William was a Kree and not dead and that when Ms. Marvel arrived in his room, she pretended to be his corpse in order to make her think that he was gone. Then, the Skrull claimed that they were holding William prisoner and that Carol could learn more.
