Strange Tales Vol 1 84 001

A man, mocked and ridiculed for his large size and low intelligence, volunteers to be the first man in space and passes through a radioactive anti-matter cloud which grants him magnetic powers. He uses these powers to take revenge on those who tormented him, but the powers soon wear off. Because a selfish promoter who tried to exploit the giant for profit (but failed because his low intelligence made him unable to partake in competitive sports) knows why the giant man is lashing out at those who made taunts, he tells his story to the authorities. They plant a story to go out over the radio that tells of a new rocket to the stars. Magneto sneaks aboard, and after the ship blasts off, the radio comes to life and tells him that they know he's aboard and they built the craft to take him to habitable planet where he can achieve the peace that he's been denied on Earth.
