2) Once the image is uploaded, please don't forget licensing.
If you uploaded it through the Special:Upload function, make use of the "Licensing (Required)" dropdown feature before clicking "Upload File," so it can be legally displayed on the wiki.
If you uploaded it through the "Add a photo to this gallery" function on the bottom of galleries, or you didn't select any licensing option in the dropdown feature of Special:Upload, you'll have to add the licensing manually. Go to the uploaded image and click "Edit," you'll see two rows of buttons to insert templates or format functions. Click on the button that has a single polaroid photograph on it (found in the bottom row), and the template will be added. Be sure to fill in the "License" field with the respective license. Most common licenses are "Comic Single Panel," "Comic Cover," "TV Screenshot" and "Movie Screenshot." If the licensing you added is not valid, the image will still appear as unlicensed.
3) Whether the image template with licensing has been added automatically or has been inserted manually on the image, please be sure to fill in the respective fields there are, including "Source," "Universe," "Subject#," etc. to help sort it out.
Part of the universe, that I thought it was the origin of the chaacter and not the place of the picture (my mistake!), and the counter at the end of the filename... Any other mistake? I don't understand about the "liscensing"... I choose the "single panel" option when I uploaded the image, but it didn't seemed to add it correctly?
Sorry for the trouble, I am trying to add the images acording to the rules D:
No problem. There was just two more mistakes: the file name was lacking "Vol" on it and you filled some fields with unnecessary things, such as "X-Men" and "Magneto".
When filling those subject fields, you only have to put the characters and items that appear in the page. Like, if the image you uploaded is for a specific character, fill the subject fields with his name (followed by his reality designation) and items he's carrying with him (if there's any).
What do you mean by "I choose the 'single panel' option when I uploaded the image, but it didn't seemed to add it correctly?" Maybe I can help with it.
It's supposed to be added when you choose one of those options. It just won't appear if you upload an image without having chosen one of said options, and then put the licensing manually.
If I'm not mistaken, many of the images you uploaded (if not all of them) did have the licensing text, but (for some reason) had (Required) next to it. I removed it since the licensing wasn't required anymore as everything was filled with the proper information.
Characters who are only mentioned don't need those categories.
That category isn't really important, but if you add memberships, physical features, origins or citizenships (for example), there is module that add automatically the categories regarding the words added in the fields of the template. Always use it if possible so we can change it without effort when needed. For example, I have currently the Category:Humans to depopulate and to add (using the right words in the origin field) for them to be added to Category:Humans (Homo sapiens).
Ok, I think I understand now... For the script that automatically categorise a character, only the name of the comics (without notes) has to be in the "First" field, and the rest in the "First 2" field... is that so?
But in the case of mentions no need to do it, because the characters didn't debuted yet. For characters appearing after mentions, manually adding stuff is required then (without the "First2"). That's not really intuitive, but there's no other way considering how we do it.
Nope. Possibly a minor problem that will be corrected, and the pages will receive the categories then. But really it's not important, there's a loooooot of more important stuff to be added to the wikia.
I just saw this message! Thanks! (I am quite sure this is an auto message, but all the same :))
By the way, is there any way to edit that link I talked about in this topic? I found edits for all kind of things in the wiki, but not for that... (it is not important at all, just asking out of curiosity)
