  • Hope all is well, I miss you buddy.

    • Well, first, it's not my birthday. Second, I'm going through a bit of a rough patch right now. Third, last time we spoke wasn't it a vicious and rude encounter? And didn't you say it was a malicious brother or some such thing? Either way, my recent interactions with this account haven't been the best, but you seem more like who I remember as being attached to this account, so I guess I can say I miss you too.

  • Why did you re-add Songbird to current members

  • Please, whenever you upload a new image, be sure to follow these three simple steps:

    1) Be sure the image name acts in accordance with our site's Naming Conventions.

    2) Once the image is uploaded, please don't forget licensing.

    • If you uploaded it through the Special:Upload function, make use of the "Licensing (Required)" dropdown feature before clicking "Upload File," so it can be legally displayed on the wiki.
    • If you uploaded it through the "Add a photo to this gallery" function on the bottom of galleries, or you didn't select any licensing option in the dropdown feature of Special:Upload, you'll have to add the licensing manually. Go to the uploaded image and click "Edit," you'll see two rows of buttons to insert templates or format functions. Click on the button that has a single polaroid photograph on it (found in the bottom row), and the template will be added. Be sure to fill in the "License" field with the respective license. Most common licenses are "Comic Single Panel," "Comic Cover," "TV Screenshot" and "Movie Screenshot." If the licensing you added is not valid, the image will still appear as unlicensed.

    3) Whether the image template with licensing has been added automatically or has been inserted manually on the image, please be sure to fill in the respective fields there are, including "Source," "Universe," "Subject#," etc. to help sort it out.

    Thanks!

    • My pleasure. ^_^

    • Annabell explained it better than me, I'm not trying to be a dictator on this, just trying to make everything better and make sure people know that the images they are uploading are legal and who they prescribe them to be.

    • Right, sorry. I really suck at this. I only fixed it because I saw it was gonna get tagged, I didn't even think to get it moved. Sorry.

    • Its ok, you don't suck, just want to make sure things get cleaned up properly and follow conventions

  • Hey, Just in case you didn't know, the sites Naming Conventions for images also includes the source in the file name. I know its a pain, but could I ask you to go back and tag for moving some of the images you've already uploaded as well as add this in future uploads.

    • It's really not that hard, especially if you choose the proper type from the dropdown before you click upload, in this case "Movie Screenshot", then it automatically adds the template and all you need to do is quickly edit to fill in the ImageType, Source, Universe, Subjects, or if it's a comic image the various artists as well.

That being said, I think mainly Copeinator123 is hoping for the name of future upload to be done correctly so that they don't have to be moved.

  • You marked Fire Knives (Earth-616) for a move, but did not leave a reference or source for the new name. Please supply one so that we can move it through the queue. Thanks.

    • It said Mariann Howlett in the description as soon as I saw the page. It just seemed logical to move the page to her possible name.

        Loading editor
    • Hmm. The real name has a citation needed sign, which was added by an admin, and the name Mariann Howlett was added over 2 years ago by someone that's no longer active. Additionally, some Google-fu shows that we are literally the only site on the internet claiming that is her name. Seems pretty clear that we should remove that one.

  • The edits you're undoing saying they are "wrong links" are following the lastest naming conventions of this wiki. Can you please stop undoing right edits, please?

    • Screw you, man. I'm doing the right thing. That's what matters.

    • We are all equal here, so drop hostile attitude and calm down. Then we could start the discussion about the right edits. We have indeed made a policy change and I don't see a reason why link couldn't be changed already if redirect is working.

  • Categories cannot simply be renamed despite the fact that these use terminology no longer found in the handbooks, and they'd also become bloated with badge hunters adding every single person who ever appeared in one issue to them, so the bot is deleting the existing categories in order to allow for a new series of categories that can be refocused under new names with more specific standards.

    • Oh, OK. Sorry for the mix-up, I was on vacation and very confused when I saw that in my inbox. Please forgive me.

    • No worries, just figured I'd give you a more full explanation to save us both some time. We're working on defining who belongs in a Rogues Gallery so that we don't end up with people insisting Big Wheel is one of Spider-Man's greatest foes, etc.

    • Yeah, sure. That one could be deleted, though, and I can find a bigger one. Or I can add it to my user page.

  • Hey, Mr. X. This is not an overreaction message, I`m sorry, I reacted a little bit more than I usually do...

In the Marvel Comics Fanon Wiki, it says my block expiry date is at 15th July, 14:31, but is way past that time. I have no idea why I still can`t edit or do any action or anything. Any solution?
