  • this is a one-time only warning: Do NOT copy images from other websites, especially marvunapp. This is plagiarism and possibly a copyright violation and will not only earn you an infinite block, but can get this site in trouble. I must ask you to remove all images you have copied, in case I missed any.

    • As far as I am aware I have been licensing the images when I post them, it asks me to select what kind of image licence to use and I do. What is the issue then? I am confused

    • "Once you have [licensed the image], you have to insert:

      • The type of license: If this is a comic (a panel or less), you can add "CSP" (Character Simple Panel or something like that)
      • The imagetype: Item, Character, Location, Team, Vehicle (don't know if there is more of them
      • Description, if you feel there is a need to describe something. (I use it really occasionally)
      • the Issue where the pics comes from
      • The universe where the "pic was taken"
      • The subject(s): everything appearing in a valuable way on the pic (with the reality designation for characters, and also for the other if they do have one: In general, the correct name of )
      • The authors (CoverArtist, Penciler, Inker, Colourist, Letterer): Only those who indeed have a role in the pic: No need for cover artist or letterer for a pic from inside the comic and with no dialogue appearing on it."

    • In your case, you've added the Universe and Subject, but you've missed the source (the issue the image comes from) and the authors (you have to fill the CoverArtist, Penciler, Inker, Colourist and Letterer fields. But as Undoniel said, there's noo need for cover artist or letterer for a pic from inside the comic and with no dialogue appearing on it.)

Also please remember to name the images following the site's Naming Conventions.

      Thanks.

  • Hi!

When you upload files and pics, please license them:

    • You can add a license template before the upload by selecting an option.
    • If you don't, you can simply go on edit of the file page, and add the template: You have to search in the little icons and clic on the one with a little pic of a photo, named "insert image template"

Once you have made one of those two options, you have to insert:

    • The type of license: If this is a comic (a panel or less), you can add "CSP" (Character Simple Panel or something like that)
    • The imagetype: Item, Character, Location, Team, Vehicle (don't know if there is more of them
    • Description, if you feel there is a need to describe something. (I use it really occasionally)
    • the Issue where the pics comes from
    • The universe where the "pic was taken"
    • The subject(s): everything appearing in a valuable way on the pic (with the reality designation for characters, and also for the other if they do have one: In general, the correct name of )
    • The authors (CoverArtist, Penciler, Inker, Colourist, Letterer): Only those who indeed have a role in the pic: No need for cover artist or letterer for a pic from inside the comic and with no dialogue appearing on it.

It would be nice if you could also license the pics you've already uploaded. The list of your edits and upload are present in contribution, in the bar where you also found your profile, blog and message wall.

Here an example of pic properly licensed for a comic pic (I've just corrected my own mistakes on it): File:M'Butu_(Earth-616)_from_Black_Panther_Vol_4_3_0002.png

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Sorry if my message was too long, but that licensing thing is truly for both editors and visitors, as the licensing allow the pic to be linked to the image category of the character page.

Also don't forget the naming conventions.

And also, when you create a gallery, please license the pics (even if some or all of the pics aren't licensed), and also to create the images pages

    Have a good day !

  • I've seen you've added a character "Alisande Morales". If you're still currently working on S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, have you any idea if there is a link between her and Alisanda Morales (A S.H.I.E.L.D./H.A.M.M.E.R. agent tracking X-23)? I don't recall to see a handbook entry for any of those two or one characters who could help to separate her and I've never read anything with Alisande Morales, but maybe you could know.

    • I checked every issue she is listed as appearing in here on the wiki tho.

    • Yep, but sometimes there is interesting mention in other entries (I just found out Doctor Crocodile and Jono Barako were friends in the entry concerning Mbangawi)

I will check once I find them back.

  • Hi! Just a detail regarding to Marvel Boy. You have uploaded a pic of Mr. Greepy with the designation "Earth-N", but from what I understood of the issue, he is a human under the influence of the Earth-N originated Hexus.

Have I misunderstood the issue ? (and don't forget to license your pics (and to use the naming conventions for the pics))

    • I dont think all of those realities has nessisarily been given a number...I'm not sure

    • Mmmh, the file name change isn't really important (I myself make some mistakes, sometimes I leave a movetagged but i've read somewhere it was more difficult to move files, so I just license.

Selecting a licensing is the first step, but you have to click on edit the file and fill the fields. (type of pic, subject, reality of the pics, description (if needed, I rarely fill that blank except if confusing, or when I've nothing to do of my day), artists who are indeed involved in the pic realization (some put the letterer or even the cover artist when there is no text on a panel; totally irrelevant) (just check some files to see how it works)

And I don't recall if he killed them, but there is two new I think, or something like that.

  • I have made an error which connects to at least one of your images. I made a "Revis" image for Psycho-Man (Earth-1610) which is supposed to be Revka. My image of "Revis" needs to be renamed and Revka" with maybe a .001 and both images put together in Psycho-Man (Earth-1610)'s image files ... something like Revka Scyros III (Earth-1610) images. Basically I need to rename my file. Is there anyway you can fix this? I'll watch how you do it and maybe I won't make this goof again.

I'm good at adding information, not good on images (yet). I'm over 50 and my teen-age son says I have a lot to learn.

    • to his gallery that is

    • Yep, a special Spineless One, but he could be a mutate as well. The word mutant is kind of special in the Marvel universe. I checked his first appearances (Longshot 3 behind the scenes and mentioned, and Longshot 5, first appearance, but nothing there about a mutant.

As long as I'm concerned, and from what I have understood from his story, he is a time-paradox affected Spineless One, but as long as we know. He is "a special" Spineless One and that's all.

  • Please, whenever you create a page for a character, try to add a little bit of the history of said character. Remember you are creating the page for other people to know about that character. One example would be William Nguyen (Earth-616), you could visit the page and see how it is now compared how it was, and see how much you could've contributed.

Also remember to add a source to both the text you write in a character's bio (by writting the issue the events you are describing happened in between {{r| and }}) and to any image you upload by filling the fields present when you click to edit certain image's page.

    Thanks and nice editing!

PS: The same goes to the characters from Dimension Z.

    • I add what I know, many of these characters are ones I have stumbled across their existence on the internet and not much info is available. I'd rather write nothing than add bad information.

        Loading editor
    • Alright. If you can get any further information, remember to add it. Thanks.
