  • Featured characters are the ones in which the story most focus (along with their team), except for the villain. If a character has the most screentime of them all, she is obviously receiving a lot more of focus. Most of the Guardians received more focus than most of the Avengers.

  • I was wondering where you've read that Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley are returning as writers on the recently announced movie 'Spider-Man: Far From Home'. From what I've seen, the only writers announced for it have been Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

    • The Variety source I provided for the Returning Cast of characters on the Far From Home page itself has Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley listed as the screenwriters. I found it weird too, because all the articles I've read just had Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers listed as screenwriters. Could be a mistake on their part, but I figured just to list both.

    • Yeah, since it hasn't even begun filming yet, it won't matter too much until they (Marvel) officially announce the full cast and crew (like they did with 'Captain Marvel'). I was skeptical of it personally, since the two are attached to direct the planned Flash movie, but since that seems far away in terms of starting to film, it probably isn't a stretch that they are doing another superhero movie.

Also, the same articles saying McKenna and Sommers are the writers, also claim that Jake Gyllenhaal is confirmed to be Mysterio in the movie, which I'm not sure about that yet, but we haven't really heard anything of it since with the start of filming coming up.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, I'll remove it, once we get a press release or something from Marvel regarding who's credited for what.

Gyllenhaal is in the movie, if I'm reading it correctly. It was reported he was in negotiations a month ago by one of the trades. THR confirmed he was signed on when they reported on the film's title.

  • Just reading your update note where you refer to director's comments, and I'm wondering what those comments were (and where).

After watching the movie, the timeline (to me at least) looks like it starts at some point after Civil War, and that character is mentioned. Then comes the car accident and rest of the movie runs over the course of many months, perhaps even a year. The dialogue was very, very specific about the mentioned character, even if the name itself wasn't used.

So where are these director's comments?

  • Please can you not use Wikipedia links, please just add the location. If it's a red link just leave it or create the page. Thanks.

Also if you know of any others you have added could you please change them. thanks.

    • Alright, but I'll probably just leave it. I mostly edit Earth-199999 and Earth-TRN414 pages, and as far as I can tell, the main section of a Locations page should be the Earth-616 version of that location (if there is one), and since I don't frequent media that features that universe, I'll probably just leave it as a red link. Can I not make it a link and just leave it as words instead?

  • I was wondering if you could help me find a decent image of the Alpha Primitives from Agents of SHIELD?

  • You can see a screenshot of the twin's codenames from Avengers: Age of Ultron here, so I kindly request that you heed my request, and instead find something more constructive to do for the community than continue to dicker over trivialities. Thanks.

    • Why am *I* the problem here? When the movie was released, and I noticed they hadn't mentioned the codenames Scarlet Witch or Quicksilver in the movie (but I did notice they were credited as such), I asked an admin (ADour) what to do? He told me to name them as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in their articles with the TITLE option, but to keep it out of CURRENT ALIAS, as the titles are not canon (only used in credits and marketing). Also, for other articles that mention them, we would have to mention them as Wanda and Pietro (except for the Avengers: Age of Ultron page since they are credited as such).

I am simply enforcing what an ADMIN told me. And yet you are allowing a user to Undo my edits (without giving a reason why) even though I have given my reason for why I am editing. From what I've seen on this site, users get barred for doing that.

    • I don't disagree with your logic, and I'm not blaming you per se, it's just that everyone involved in the edit warring is guilty of breaking the rules when it happens, and it's my job to nip it in the bud; meanwhile, you've probably heard the idiom, "It takes two to tango.", and you simply happened to be one who might not have seen that particular discussion thread where I requested that the back and forth please stop, so I posted here personally to be sure you were aware.

Anyway, my point is that you likely don't want to spend your time squabbling over semantics any more than I do, so there are times when it makes more sense to let ADour be the one to put his foot down if it's something he feels strongly about instead of getting dragged into tit for tat with another user.

  • Hey,

I noticed you frequently do work on pages for upcoming episodes of Agents of SHIELD. For everyone's benefit, I put a more complete, AoS-specific version of the episode template in my sandbox. I edited it out so it doesn't mess with any of the wiki's editing tools, so just open it up as if you were to edit and copy/paste into a new article. All you have to do is fill in the blanks when a press release for an upcoming episode is published.

    • Alright, sure thing!

Question: If reputable sources reveal the name of episodes, but Marvel.com hasn't released a "Declassified" for those said episodes yet, do I create an article or just wait for the "Declassifying..." article on Marvel.com?

        Loading editor
    • It depends on the source. I wouldn't use a list of episodes on TV Guide, The Futon Critic, etc. Those are highly subject to change. I'd wait for something that addresses the episode itself to be published. It doesn't have to be the "Declassifying..." articles, but Marvel's pretty good about publishing those ahead of everyone else.

        Loading editor
    • Oh, what do you know. Marvel.com *just* released the "Declassifying..." article for the episode I was talking about. Haha.
