Heya :) We at Wikia are trying to get some opinions about Age of Ultron. Since you're a super fan and one of the Marvel Database's most active recent contributors, we thought you'd be the perfect person to ask!
We'd love to know what you think about the new characters joining the Avengers cast and/or the cool weapons that the Avengers smash around town with. Just give us a line or two about what you'r most looking forward to when it comes to these two topics. You can just reply to this message, and I'll put your thoughts into the hopper at Wikia Central!
Hey Iohan, I have not read any issue that shows Thor manipulating/controlling gravity. That does not mean that he hasn't or there isn't any issue that he does, I just have not seen it yet. Good job finding the strip of Thor flying w.out Mjolnir by the way.
Adam you rate Thor one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe? Able to defeat to defeat a team of heroes like the X-Men and the Avengers alone. Or villains like Thanos and Apocalypse without any assistance.
Without holding back, yes absolutely Thor can defeat the X-Men, Avengers, Thanos, and Apocalypse. He has too many weapons and abilities by himself and with Mjolnir to be defeated by anyone other than a top tier god like Odin or someone more his equal like Surfer or Beta Ray Bill.
Adam on page Thor says he used the skill of denial mystical Mjolnir in Mephisto, thus making him stop taking souls to the dimension of darkness. Is this true? If you could tell me what comic he did it? Or maybe a photo. Please help me.
Hello, it's Incredible Hulk. Hulk want to talk about something. Hulk never noticed this before, but Hulk now starting to think Tesseract(that magic cube) in Avengers is a rip-off the Allspark in Transformers. Because they are both wanted by a villain (Loki with Tesseract, Megatron with Allspark), and they are powerful. Hulk want to know your thoughts on this.
It is a similar plot, but it has sutble differences. The All-spark is the origin and life sourse of the Transformers while the Terrasect is a power source. Both items have long been in each respective universes and no movie or story can be totally original. There is always going to be something that has already been done before. Truth be told I never thought about it unitl you pointed it out and your right that is is similar but it works within their own movies so I don't really have a problem with it.
Yeah, because Hulk sick of puny humans getting upset about how "OH NOTHING IS ORIGINAL" or "Hollywood running out of ideas". It annoys Hulk. OF COURSE NOTHING is going to be TOTALLY original these days.
Exactly, the main plot of modern stories go back thousands of years from the Bible, to the Greco-Roman Myths, Norse, Egyptian and so on. The plot of a hero going on a journey of self discovery and is either loved or shunned is as old a time. The only differences is the time frame and culture of the writer in question.
I think Scarlet Witch has the power and ability to defeat just about anyone in the Marvel U, even Thor. But she needs time to work her magic even if it is just a few seconds, which I belive gives Thor an advantage since he can move beyond light-speed. So really it is a toss up.
But in page of Thor says that he used this technique in Mephisto making him stop taking souls to the dimension of darkness! Yet you could enlighten me something, Thor can only use a denial mystical Mjolnir turning the surrounding area?
I seen him in several comic books where he spins his hammer for a certain move, like teleportation, wind base attacks and so on. And I've seen him just shoot an energy blast straight from the head of the hammer like the Anti-Force and certain lightning based attacks.
I don't know any details about Storm's potential magical abilties, sorry. Though that doesn't mean she cannot, but I have not read much about her with enough information to conclusively and accurately say whether she can or cannot.
But storm is considered, but scalet... i don't know... About the storm magic, Ororo has a great and a big potential (mystic), she is like Wanda (only with her potential) i think if she desenvolve will be more stronger than Wanda Magic, You have to read Marvel Tarot . Ororo did magic sometimes, you have to search more, if you want to learn...
About the Mijonir powers, thor is not so powerfull like in database says, But some powers there is true, but others no, in the other site one person said: There in database the powers of thor is so strong, if doesn't is in the true.
No offense taken, many of our opinions depend on what characters we like and how much we like them. I firmly believe that Thor is as powerful as the database says and there are several scans and feats that prove it. But that is my opinion.
This is just your opinion, but almost none of those powers exist in all comics in ComicVine themselves fans of thor, complained of his powers here in Database, because he truly does not have all that power. Despite the fact that hulk beat thor already a few times, as he has all these powers because they can not defeat it? I'm sorry but everyone knows that Thor might have some of those powers, but not all!
The different powers that a character uses in the comics are based on the writers and how they want the story to proceed. Logically a very powerful character like the Silver Surfer or Thor can easily defeat the Hulk in a variety of ways. As strong as the Hulk is he is no where near as fast as Surfer or Thor who both move at light speeds so he should not be able to land a blow on them but he does because that is what the writers want him to do.
That is the main problem with fans of Thor who say that he does have many different powers but the writers won't let him use them because the fight would be too easy and fast.
Take a look how Thor beat Thanos and Mangog using the Anti-Force blast, or how he pushed back Galactus, Surter, and Ego (all characters who are far above the Hulk in power) using the Godblast, or how when he went into Warrior Madness, he easily over powered the Hulk and Drax (who at the time had the Power Gem).
Thor has always shown holding back his powers because he doesn't want to kill anyone but when he doesn't hold back he can beat almost anyone as shown when he killed the Thing and the Hulk during the Reigning story line, and that was with one arm, one eye and without the Odin Force.
Lets face facts, the reason Hulk has the fighting record he does is because the writers want him to win because of popularity. No other reason.
As for all the powers he has, a character no longer has a power only if it is explained away in the comics, like how Thor no longer has the Odinforce or time travel abilities, and not only that but in the Database, these claims have to be back up by comic references (specific issues). Just because a character doesn't use their powers doesn't mean that they don't have it. Unfortunately that is up the writers.
On Storm, I was not aware that she had super strength or durability. Please send me the page you speak of, I would like to see it.
1st: If thor was as powerful as it says, because he lost pros and Storm Sentinels Ultron still alive? tell me?
2 ° The page said about storm strength, was a work of fan, (ComicVine), but in comics, if you search you will see.
3rd I did not say that Thor has different powers but does not have all those powers mentioned, and you as a fan of thor should know, because everyone who is a fan of Thor, know that it does not have all those powers, to which I I am not fan of him know it.
4 ° You need to read more comics, because Scarlet Witch, she could never defeat, even if he wished it, she even came to be defeated by his own father and brother, who reads the comics x-men and avengers know what I'm speaking, even with all her strength she never could defeat him, She is much less than many mutants.
"1st: If thor was as powerful as it says, because he lost pros and Storm Sentinels Ultron still alive? tell me?"
I'm sorry I don't understand the question, what do you mean "he lost pros". Do you mean powers? And about Ultron, again it is up to the writers and how they want the story to happen.
"2 ° The page said about storm strength, was a work of fan, (ComicVine), but in comics, if you search you will see. "
Are you trying to say that the page concerning Storm's strength is a work from a fan on ComicVine or in the marvel comics, and if so can you recommend a specific issue that explains it.
"3rd I did not say that Thor has different powers but does not have all those powers mentioned, and you as a fan of thor should know, because everyone who is a fan of Thor, know that it does not have all those powers, to which I I am not fan of him know it. "
Thor does have all the powers mentioned but does not use all of them because the writer's don't write Thor using them all the time, but each power mentioned in the Database is referenced with the specific issue that Thor uses it with. I know this and other fans of Thor know this because we research our fav character and update the page profile on the Database. When Thor or any other character has a specific power or ability it needs to be backed up by the issue that in appeared in, which is why you see in the long list of powers he has (mostly through Mjolnir) you see the numbers in blue coloring that drops you down to the bottom of the page which gives you the specific comic issue that the power or ability appeared in. And as I said before the only way a character no longer has a power is if it has been explained away in a comic issue and needs to be backed up by a reference. (Ex. Thor no longer has the Odinforce as explained in Thor issue #602, or no longer having Rune Magic in Thor vol 3 issue #1).
"4 ° You need to read more comics, because Scarlet Witch, she could never defeat, even if he wished it, she even came to be defeated by his own father and brother, who reads the comics x-men and avengers know what I'm speaking, even with all her strength she never could defeat him, She is much less than many mutants."
First off, I read comics that I am interested in and I admit that I don't read everything. Secondly, I am a little confused as to this previous statement about the Scarlet Witch. Are you saying that Wanda cannot beat Magneto and Quicksilver and could never defeat them? And if so I would like to remind you that Wanda is the reason why 90% of all mutants did not have their powers recently and she (along with Hope Summers) was the reason the Phoenix was defeated. That is very powerful. Wanda is in the highest order of mutants
Ok , you think, what you want, but wanda isn't so powerful, in the true wanda was crazy when she did the 90% of mutants.... So read X-men and Avengers that i'll see if wanda is so powerful like you say, she isn't...
The Avengers are more powerful due to the fact that they have Thor and the Hulk. They also have the public on their side which is not politically correct but having a positive influence over the vast majority of the public is power. Maybe not a physical, mental, or magical power but it is a power none the less. There is also the old saying that knowledge is power which can also go in the Avengers favor since they have access to Asgardian lore, Iron Man's tech and science, Captain America's contacts and clout, Stephen Strange's magical lore and so on. So over all I say the Avengers are more powerful than the X-Men. Many would point out that the Phoenix Force evens things or tips the scales in the X-Men's favor but the Phoenix Force does not recognize a specific group since it is more of a cosmic being than a teammate.
Almost anything from telekinesis to transmutation to telepathy and so on. The only limitation is what the writers place on him. He is technically the second strongest magic user in Asgard behind Odin and tied with Karnilla, he even surpasses Stephen Strange.
Honestly, yes I do believe that Thor can defeat the Hulk. Not just because I'm a Thor fan (I'm a Hulk fan as well) but when I look at each individual powers and abilties, I see it as a defintie edge in Thor's favor.
Strength: This is the big issue between every fan of either Thor or the Hulk. First thing that every Hulk fan says or thinks is that the Hulk is the strongest and gets stronger the madder he gets and that he has the potential for limitless strength. Personally I find this debatedable since both Thor and the Hulk are in the same class tier. I could bring up the fact that in all of the Thor vs Hulk battles that Thor was always holding back while the Hulk went all out (the cartoon dvd is not comics cannon so I don't include it or the very powered-down Ultimate Thor). I could also bring up the fact that Thor has the Belt of Strength which doubles his natural strength, stamina, and durability and also that of Mjolnir (in which he defeated a power-up Thanos)
There is also the case that Thor can enter Warrior Madness and increase his strength, durability, and stamina tenfold. That's not his power x 10, that is his powers to the 10th power. A dramatic increase. So the strength issue is debatable in my opinion.
Durability/Invulnerablity: Both have a high tolerance for physical damage and both have survived everything from space, intense heat, intense impact, etc... But what tips the favor for Thor in my POV is that he has great resistance to magic based abilites that is far greater than the Hulk.
Speed: There is not contest here. Hulk can move way faster than a normal human but Thor can move several time the speed of light. And let's say for arguments sake that the Hulk is stronger than Thor, well you can't hit what you can't catch and in a full out fight(without regards to writers who write for popularity's sake) with Thor using his top speed the Hulk would never be able to land a blow.
Stamina: Thor has godly stamina and went up against Zeus for nine months at full power from both beings. This is the same Zeus that beat down the Hulk so bad that he nearly killed the Hulk and within seconds too. Don't get me wrong, the Hulk has phenomenal stamina but according to statistics, Thor's is better.
Regenative Healing Factor: This one is just about even sine both can recover from just about anything from 'minor' wounds to missing limbs. And they are both immune to almost any virus or diseases.
This is where the both individuals have powers in common. The major X factor in a battle between these two are Thor's hammer Mjolnir and his martial skills.
Mjolnir: What can be said of this awesome weapon. The main thing Thor could do is drain the Hulk of his gamma radiation, no gamma radiation no Hulk. Easy, simple, and can be done in seconds which would make for a very short fight which is why I suspect that the writers haven't used such a move before.
If not that then Thor can erect a barrier between the two that the Hulk cannot penetrate (which he has done before) then teleport Hulk to the distant most part of the universe (he's done this with other opponents too). Again writers won't use this because the fight would be short.
Thor can manipulate and transmutate matter on par with the Silver Surfer. (SS#4) He can change the molecular make-up of the Hulk into whatever he wishes; air, rubber, liquid, and so on.
Thor can manipulate souls with his hammer, why not the Hulk?
And if all else fails, Thor can use the Godblast, which he used to defeat cosmics beings such as Galactus, Ymir, Surtur, and Ego the Living Planet; all who are far above the Hulk's power levels. He could use the Anti-Force, which he used to defeat Mangog (a being with the power of a billion billion souls, way above Hulk).
The other X factor is Thor's martial skills. He has battled and defeated gods, demons, titans, aliens, superhumans, monsters, trolls, giants, warriors, and so on for thousands of years and has picked up and learned far more armed and unarmed combat styles than any other mortal, where as the Hulk is more smash and bash.
So yeah, overall, I'd say that a full on fight between the two with no holding back(without regards to popularity or stigmas) that Thor would win.
Last but not least, I do admire Stan Lee's work. The man created my two favorite marvel characters (Thor & Spidey) and many many others that are too many to list.
Yeah, Spidey does think on the go and is really good at adapting to different situations. I had hoped Spider-man would have been in the Avengers but with the new reboot, Spidey's story hasn't been told yet. Also I'm not sure if Spider-man or the FF are in the same 'Marvel Cinematic Universe' but what can you do, the Avengers was still an awesome movie. Maybe the new Spider-man will be in the Avengers sequel (crossing my fingers).
Definitley Uatu, he's a cosmic being near the level of the Collecter (and Elder of the Universe). Stephen Strange has great amounts of magical powers, knowledge, and artifacts but cannot compete against cosmic beings like Uatu (though Uatu is not a fighter or known to interfere in most matters, just watch.
Thor's regenerative healing in not a conscious ability which means that his body heals on its own at a much faster rate than most mortals and most gods, but he can use Mjolnir to speed up his already awesome healing ability. And yes he can repair limbs, organs and such with Mjolnir. Thor's healing factor maybe on par with Wolverine but I'm not %100 certain since it takes alot to physically hurt him.
That depends on who the writer is. In one issue Surfer's powers were augmented by Loki's magic making him more powerful than ever and Thor was still more powerful, but at the same time Surfer had the ability to tap into the Power Cosmic and wield it at a level higher than Galactus. So I don't belive that one is really more powerful than the other. Thor has a large winning record against the Surfer with neither one holding back so if I had to pick one it would be Thor.
I believe Storm is more powerful than Sue Richards, mainly because she has the lightning at her disposal as well as hurricane winds, ice, hail and so on. Sue Richards has her shields but they will only hold for so long. But that is my opinion.
Thanks! I think Thor really cool, because it is powerful and yet is very stylish! But I'm no fan of Thor for a long time I think I started reading about it for a year. Let me ask you another question please power on a page is called Thor eldritch blast that power refers to the gusts Electrics Thor throws Mjolnir directly?
I like Thor because I've always been facinated by mythological gods like Greece, Roman, Egyptian, Norse, Mayan and so on.
I have not heard of any power called eldritch but Thor can shoot lightning from his hammer, his hands, call down lightning from the sky without Mjolnir, and even discharge lightning from his body in several directions at once.
I don't know if he can totally removed another person's magical abilities at regular levels. When he had the Odin Force he could, same with the Rune Magic but at his regular levels. It might be possible, if he was able to 'turn off' the magical energies of the Juggernuat there is no reason why he could not do the same to another magical being. But like many other abilities this one may have been a one shot power by the writer in question. As cool as it is to have seen Thor use all of his powers and abilities one time I would like to see him use them again more often. Like Matter manipulation, cosmic energy, soul manipulation, electromagnetic spectrum control, and so on. I can only assume that the writers don't want to make him seem to powerful for 'regular' foes like the Hulk, Sentry, or some other. But come on, Thor is a god and an extremely powerful one at that.
Actually, Storm 'defeated' Wonder Woman not Thor, in the Marvel vs DC Crossover, which is still B.S. since the fights were decided by fan voting on most popular and not by actual powers and abilities. Storm could not beat Wonder Woman, just like Wolverine could not beat Lobo and Aquaman could not beat Namor.
Thanks by truth! So any news on Thor? I think he's so powerful that it is able to defeat Doctor Strange's powers due to Mjonir: Denial and Immunity Other mystical forces! A friend told me that Doctor Strange Thor has defeated in battle without using the Odin Force is this true? If you have any pictures to give me?
Thanks! On the other hand I think Hank Pym but powerful in a matter of power and intelligence (for creating Ultron) and I think that Dr. Reed has rechards mental or physical attributes that exceed those of Dr. Hank Pym!
If I'm not mistaken, she is immune to natural weather phenomenon but you have an insteresting thesis about Thor's weather mastery being mysitcal in nature so it is possible and probable that Thor's control can hurt Storm.
As far as Dr. Pym, I can't say I'm a fan of his. I mean if you want scientific prowess you got Stark, if you want sheer power you have Hulk or Thor. So it didn't bother me that he wasn't in the film. Though if I had to put him there I would perferm him as Giant Man instead of Ant Man. As far as founding member, The Marvel Cinematic Universe is not the same as the other like the main stream Earth-616, Ult Universe and all other Alternate Universes. Though I would have liked to have seen Carol Danvers, Jessica Drew, and Scarlet Witch in the Avengers film.
Sorry by my friend Luke does not know what he is saying he is a fan of Storm and lives trying to put down, but I believe entirely in you because I never heard that Storm defeated Thor, and he possessed neither the strength phoenix! Apologies. What is your name?
In physcial strenth, Thor all the way. In strength of power levels? Still Thor.
Also I saw the update on the God Blast that you edited into the explosion of God. Just FYI, (because I went through the same thing when I first started editing) when making an edit like this make sure you use the correct pretense. Your first line of 'Thor is capable of channeling different amounts of their divine energies', while Thor's energies are divine in part the writers and the character himself refers to it a godly energies so that is why it is used, also the their part is plural so when talking about Thor alone we have to use sinular like his and/or her.
Also try to be as accurate as possible. ThoR himself and the writers call this ability the Gob-Blast. Thor has only used it five time in his entire history and has never refered it as Explosion of God, also just FYI, the way you referenced the ability as Explosion of God makes it seems as if it means the Christian/Judiac God. In a similarly case editors could make the reference as Godly Explosion, but that is not the case here. We don't want to offend anyone on this wikia site.
Also when making any edit is is best to reference where the info came from and when you reference an edit it should be used by
Just giving a heads up because if it happens to often you might get heat from other editors and/or admins.

It has been stated that the God-Blast has the ability to destroy certain immortals but some high tier immortals cannot be killed by it like the Elders of the Universe, the immortals like Infinity, Eternity, Death, and so on.
There was no specific details on how Thor did it. It was one of the many abilities that Mjolnir offers him, though logic would dictate that he would use this ability more often against other beings since it is not just mysitcal fields. It is more than likely a one-off ability used by the writer of the issue it came from because I can't recall Thor using that ability a second time.
