Magneto joined the Illuminati at some point, helping them deal with the Incursions.
When encountering one such Incursion over Manhattan, the Illuminati encountered the Black Priests, unknown entities of great power from the other Earth. Despite their best efforts, the Illuminati were unable to defeat the Black Priests, and Magneto, along with the rest of the Illuminati, was incinerated by the Priests' magic, in an event witnessed by the Illuminati of Earth-616 from their universe using the Bridge.[1]Attributes
