History

Matani was the wife of the Collector. She shared her life with him for the first millennia of their existence and had a daughter with him, Carina, who matured and left the family. Eventually, Matani lost her will to live and, being as it was essential for an Elder's immortality, she died. This would lead to the Collector developing his obsession to survive.

Resurrection

She was later resurrected, but succumbed again to her apathy.
