History
Mason Hollis was the assistant to district attorney Foggy Nelson, while at the same time head of a large network of racketeers. He hired several agents, amongst them the Stunt-Master and Torpedo, to defeat Daredevil, all of whom failed. He was defeated and unmasked by Foggy Nelson.[2]

- Crime-Wave's secret identity, Mason Hollis, is the true name of Nite-Owl, one of the Golden Age costumed crimefighters from Alan Moore's Watchmen, in reversed order.
