History

During the post-war 1940's, Mary was a personal secretary for Jim Hammond (Human Torch). She fell in love with him and became his partner as well as his sidekick after Toro, the Teenage Torch, left to tend to his ailing foster mother. She fought alongside the Torch until Toro eventually returned and replaced her.

Mary also joined forces with Captain America after his partner, Golden Girl, retired.

• Sun Girl was a top acrobat and was skilled in both Judo & Jiu Jitsu.

  Strength level

Sun Girl possessed the normal human strength of a woman of her age, height, and build who engaged in intensive regular exercise.

  Notes

• The creator of Sun Girl remains unkown, but illustrator Ken Bald provided the artwork for all three issues of Sun Girl's solo title.
