Incredible Hulk #134Among Us Walks... the Golem
The Hulk has found himself in the dictatorship of Morvania where he decides to stay in peace after warning the dictator Draxon to stay out of his way. The Hulk's wanderings bring him to meet a little girl named Rachel, who's father Isaac is forming a resistance army to over throw the evil dictator. Rachel believes that the Hulk is really the Golem, a mythical creature created in the Prague centuries ago by Judah Loew ben Bazalel who created the clay being to protect his people from persecution.
When she brings the Hulk to her home, her parents are frightened and try to defend themselves, making the Hulk flee. When Rachel tells her father that she believes that the Hulk is the Golem coming to rescue them, Isaac recounts the legend and wonders if perhaps the Hulk can aid them in overthrowing Draxon. The Hulk continues his wandering about the land, trying to find an ideal place to live. Finding the villagers frightened of him, the Hulk finally finds a place to stay in an abandoned village.
Meanwhile, the dictator Draxon is furious over the Hulk's continued presence and that the locals are starting to believe that he is the Golem of legend. He decides to leave the monster be as he is still in control of the country and recalls how he managed to take over by force and take possession of the royal jewels that designate their possessors as king.
That night, the Hulk is visited by the resistance movement who plead for him to help them overthrow Draxon. The Hulk refuses to join their cause, explaining his agreement with Draxon, prompting them to leave disappointed. Isaac and the others are unaware that one of their number is really a spy for Draxon. The traitor tells Draxon of the movement's failure to recruit the Hulk and that they plan on attacking the castle from the village that night.
Sure enough, Isaac and his men take out all the soldiers in the city and take one of their trucks up to the castle to begin their rebellion. However, they find Draxon waiting with his super-weapons fully constructed. They are easily overpowered and end up being pinned down and forced to stay on the defensive. As the battle rages, little Rachel finds the Hulk and her tears convince the monster to help save her father.
The Hulk easily crushes Draxon's army, and when Draxon himself tries to attack the Hulk in a high-tech tank, the Hulk easily destroys the device, killing Draxon in the process. With Draxon defeated, Isaac gives the Hulk the royal jewels and asks him to be their new king. Uninterested in such things the Hulk crushes the jewels, leaving the people of Morvania to their own fate.

Synopsis for "Cry Hulk, Cry Havok!"
Incredible Hulk #150Cry Hulk, Cry Havok!
The Hulk is trapped within the complex of Project Greenskin as the military closes in. General Ross and Major Talbot order the troops to go in, but the Hulk decides to make his move and attempts to escape. When they try to gas the green giant, the Hulk manages to secure a gas mask and make good on his escape attempt, jumping through the roof of the complex and fleeing into the desert, with General Ross vowing to capture the Hulk. Finding a butte to rest upon for the night, the Hulk tries really hard to remember a time when he was happy and has a dim recollection of his time romancing Jarella.
The Hulk reflects on this until dawn when he is interrupted by the military, who have tracked him down in helicopters. Trying to attack the Hulk with special gas-filled missiles has little effect, as the Hulk fights them off. However, the attack is called off when General Ross is ordered to appear in Washington for a congressional hearing about Project Greenskin. In Washington, Representative Roger Dutton butts head with Morton Clegstead on the cost of Project Greenskin. While Clegstead demands more need to be done, Dutton wants the money put into Greenskin to be earmarked toward housing and poverty programs.
While the government deals with red tape, Betty Ross has convinced Glenn Talbot to continue the search for the Hulk. Glenn spots the Hulk jumping across the desert, and they follow after the jade giant. The Hulk has spotted a biker gang chasing after a lone girl in a convertible. Seeing that the girl has green hair, the Hulk thinks it's his beloved Jarella and attacks the bikers. After smashing their bikes, the Hulk realizes that the girl is missing from her car, and all the other bikers, unaffected by the Hulk's initial attack, have been thrown from their bikes. The Hulk questions them and learns that the girl somehow managed to throw them from their motorcycles with the wave of his hand.
The girl in question turns out to be Lorna Dane, a mutant with magnetic powers and member of the X-Men, as she is out looking for her fellow X-Man, Havok. He had left the group after an argument between himself and Iceman over Lorna's affections led to Havok lashing out and injuring him. As Lorna tries to find where Alex has holed up, one of the unharmed bikers tracks her down and is about to descend upon her when he is blasted by Alex, who Lorna is happy to see.
Reunited with the man that she is falling in love with, Lorna tells Alex that Professor X had sent her out to try and convince him to return to the X-Men. Alex refuses to return, and Lorna storms off because she wasn't there to "sell" him on the idea of returning to the X-Men for the Professor; she came out to find him because she also cares about him. Realizing that he's made a mistake, Alex tries to follow after her when the Hulk suddenly arrives. Seeing Alex as an enemy who has upset "Jarella", he orders Alex to get back or be attacked. Alex complies, but only to change into his Havok costumes and follow after Lorna and the Hulk.
The Hulk, meanwhile, has grabbed Lorna and is carrying her up the side of another butte. It's there that Hulk finally gets a good look at Lorna and realizes that she is not his beloved Jarella, which confuses him. Spotting Glenn and Betty's jeep driving toward them, the Hulk believes that this is yet another military trick. While Lorna is trying to talk sense into the primitive brute, Glenn struggles over whether he should tell Betty about Bruce's romance with Jarella or not. Havok arrives on the scene and attacks the Hulk, prompting him to leave Lorna to engage in battle. Unmatched against the Hulk in strength, Alex uses his energy blasts to keep the Hulk at bay. However, the Hulk turns the battle around by grabbing part of the butte and lifting it over his head, prepared to throw it on Alex.
Alex notices that Lorna is trapped on that portion and decides that he must focus his powers at the Hulk's mind, causing the green giant great pain and forcing him to lower the butte slowly. As the Hulk passes out, Alex uses his powers to save Lorna from the butte. Once Lorna is safe on the ground, Alex decides that he will return with her to the Professor's school after all, leaving the Hulk behind.
Meanwhile, the unconscious Hulk reverts back to Bruce Banner just as Betty and Glenn arrive. Rushing to Bruce's side, Betty comforts him and realizes that Bruce is trying to say something. Getting close enough to hear, she listens as Bruce says "Jarella, my love..." Realizing that Bruce is speaking another woman's name, the confused Betty asks Glenn what it could mean. Watching Betty cry, Glenn cannot tell her but suggests that maybe Bruce can explain to her when he wakes up.

Incredible Hulk #158Frenzy on a Far-Away World!
As the rocket controlled by the Leader rockets towards the wedding of Betty Ross and Glenn Talbot, carrying the Rhino inside to crash the nuptials, the Hulk smashes the ship from outside, causing the Leader to loosen his hold on the Rhino's body. With no memory of how he got aboard the ship, the Rhino is confused as to why the Hulk is attacking him. Putting on a space helmet, the Rhino exits the ship and battles the Hulk. With the elimination of both the Hulk and the Rhino (whom the Leader assumes will only attempt to betray him again), the Leader decides to let the two fight it out as their ship spirals out of control into the furthest reaches of space.
This battle is also being monitored by General Ross and his men, who inform the General that the ship is spiraling toward the Sun and ultimate destruction, much to the General's relief. However, such is not the fate of the Rhino and the Hulk. The ship instead orbits around the Sun until it passes through the atmosphere of the High Evolutionary's Counter-Earth. The Hulk knocks the Rhino off the ship and then lands in a city, where he interrupts a battle between Kohbra's beast-men and Porcunius' rebel group. The Hulk's interruption causes Kohbra and his minions to flee. As Porcunius offers the Hulk friendship and sanctuary, they are spotted by the military who are being led by Counter-Earth's versions of General Ross and Glenn Talbot. However, they flee the scene, leaving Ross and his men to wonder just what the heck happened.
Aboard his space station watching over his creation, the High Evolutionary muses grimly at the discovery of his New-Men on Counter-Earth, even though he knew it was going to be an eventuality. When Ross is harassed by newspaper reporter Jason Anders, Ross tells him to get lost; however, he sticks around long enough for the arrival of Counter-Earth's versions of Bruce Banner and Betty Ross to arrive and report to Ross about an alien ship that the military has seized. Anders rushes off to report this story and it makes all the papers. The story gets into the hands of both warring factions of the New-Men, who seek to claim the shuttle.
At the military base, Bruce Banner examines the ship and is surprised to learn that it is powered by Gamma Rays, and recalls his close encounter where he saved a young boy named Rick Jones from the explosion of his experimental Gamma Bomb. On Counter-Earth, instead of being caught in the explosion and being turned into the Hulk, Bruce Banner managed to get to safety.
When the Hulk and Porcunius' New-Men arrive, the Hulk recognizes Banner, but since the Hulk considers Bruce Banner to be a separate being, he doesn't realize that this Bruce Banner is a duplicate. Before the Hulk can attack Bruce, Bruce's son Bobbie tries to hit the Hulk, demanding that the Hulk not hurt his father. The Hulk, confused by all this and unable to strike a child, stops his attack. This lets his guard down to be struck by the Rhino, who has teamed up with Kohbra and his minions and a fight over control of the ship begins.
Watching this from his space station, the Leader attempts to call back his ship in the hopes of stranding the Hulk and the Rhino on Counter-Earth. However, the Hulk manages to knock the Rhino out and, noticing that the ship is about to take off, boards it, carrying the unconscious Rhino with him. As the ship blasts off, both factions of the New-Men retreat and the Hulk reflects on his hatred of Bruce Banner and realizes that he cannot hate a man who has a good son. As the ship flies away from Counter-Earth, the relaxed Hulk transforms back into Bruce Banner. As Banner reflects on what he can recall, he begins to wonder if the Betty of his Earth has a future with him as well.
In contrast of this, on Earth, the wedding of Betty Ross and Glenn Talbot is finalized without much incident, much to the relief of General Ross, and the two newlyweds drive off to their honeymoon, while in deep space Bruce Banner is in a ship piloting to a course unknown.
