Synopsis for "The Incandescent Man"EditThe Incandescent Man, a runaway Project PEGASUS experiment resulting in a man that can absorb and manipulate electricity, has been dredged up from the river and is on a rampage draining power throughout the city. Spider-Man and Cannonball converge on the creature and do their best to stop it, though one is distracted by his attempts to take better photographs for the Bugle and the other is trying to protect a gift for his mother he just bought in town. Also targeting the Incandescent Man is his sister, who wants to capture him and use his power to get revenge on Project PEGASUS for turning him into a monster. Spidey and Cannonball get the creature away from her and dunk him back in the river after realizing that the water neutralizes his powers.
Cannonball is still worried that he'll be flunked out of the New Mutants for the sloppy use of his powers, but Spider-Man gives him a pep talk and sends him on his way with the gift for his mom. Peter then has to make the hard decision to destroy his film to protect Sam and the New Mutants from the media even though they were the best pics he had ever taken.
